Restorff's Landscape Service has openings for landscape construction employees for the 2026 season. We are looking for hard working, responsible team players who want to work for a quality company.   • Save wear and tear on your body. You will have some of the most modern and efficient tools and equipment, including a UniLyft, a mini excavator that fits through a 38” gate, multiple skid steers, a switch-n-go truck, a 20” block saw mounted on a utility trailer, and many others.
  • Respect - you will have a say in the types of equipment and the trucks that we purchase.
  • Standard season is March 15 to December 15, weather dependent.

Landscape Designer and Sales Associate

Restorff's Landscape Service has a great opportunity for a highly motivated Landscape Design and Sales Associate to become part of our team. This can be a full or part-time position. Position is seasonal, typically March - November. Sales leads are generated from referrals due to our well-established reputation for high quality and from the Plantasia show. You should understand the seasonal nature of landscape sales which generally requires working more hours in the spring than later in the season.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow up on sales leads, meeting with clients, and presenting designs and estimates to the clients.
  • Develop customized plans based on customer's vision, budget, and your professional experience.
  • Prepare 2D and 3D drawings and renderings using Uvision/Realtime landscape design software.
  • Prepare estimates and close sales leading to profitable installations.
  • Prepare work orders and drawings for our talented crews.
  • Check in at the job site to ensure the vision is coming true as intended.
  • Follow up on customer service.
  • Assist at the Plantasia Garden Show in March.
  • Generate your own leads and market yourself

Qualifications:

  • 3 years experience in landscape design and sales.
  • Portfolio of past projects that showcases your talents.
  • Working knowledge of plants appropriate for Western New York is essential.
  • CNLP is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of hardscape design and installation is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
  • Fluent in Uvision or equivalent design software.
  • Have and maintain a clean driver's license.

Wages and Benefits:

  • Higher than average salary and custom benefit package including salary, commission, company cell phone, company truck, along with a work-life balance. Seasonal base salary and commission totaling $35,000 - $45,000 plus depending on sales targets reached.

Landscape Designer

Restorff's Landscape Service has a great opportunity for a Landscape Designer to become part of our team. This can be a full or part-time position. Position is seasonal, typically March - November. This role involves only minimal client interaction. However, if you would like to learn to do Sales, we will train you. Sales commissions allow increased earning potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Measure sites as directed by sales staff.
  • Prepare 2D and 3D plans using Uvision or RealTime software or equivalent.
  • Prepare plant library for clients.
  • Prepare material lists with quantities
  • Layout projects on site per approved drawings
  • Layout plants on site per approved drawings

Qualifications:

  • 2 years experience in landscape design.
  • Working knowledge of plants appropriate for Western New York is essential.
  • CNLP is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of hardscape design and installation is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
  • Fluent in Uvision or equivalent design software.
  • Have and maintain a clean driver's license.

Landscape Construction / Hardscape Crew Leader

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee landscape laborers and assign their tasks. Prioritize job tasks to complete them on schedule.
  • Work with the crew to install high quality hardscape projects.
  • Landscape installation and construction projects may include Unilock pavers and walls, natural stone walls and patios, outdoor kitchens, and water gardens.
  • Bobcat and mini-excavator operation.
  • May involve some landscape planting, grading, and lawn installation. Follow proper horticultural procedures.
  • Complete work order paperwork to track material and labor usage.
  • Train laborers on the tasks needed and the general concept on how to install a project from start to finish.

Qualifications:

  • 2 to 3 years experience on a landscape construction crew. Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of all aspects of hardscape installation from start to finish required.
  • Ability to operate skid steer and mini-excavator efficiently.
  • Ability to arrive on time and ready to work.
  • Clean driver's license required.
  • Strong communication skills.

Landscape / Softscape Crew Leader

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee landscape laborers and assign their tasks.
  • Complete work order paperwork to track material and labor usage.
  • Work with a crew to install landscape plantings for residential and commercial projects.
  • Grade and install sod and seed lawns.
  • Spring and Fall Clean-Up projects.
  • Operation of mini-excavator, skid steer, mini-skid steer, and most other types of equipment used in the landscape industry.
  • Make sure all equipment is used appropriately and requests for maintenance or repair are forwarded in a timely manner.
  • Must have knowledge of plant material including ability to identify plants, plant with proper spacing and depth, stake trees, etc.

Qualifications:

  • 2 - 3 years working on a landscape crew with supervisory experience OR CNLP with 2 years experience on a landscape crew.
  • Working knowledge of all aspects of landscape plantings.
  • Ability to arrive on time and ready to work every day.
  • Clean driver's license required.
  • Hardscape knowledge is a plus, but not necessary.
  • Ability to operate skid steer and mini-excavator efficiently a plus.

Hardscape Installer

This position is a great opportunity for someone that wants to install hardscapes and doesn't want to oversee a crew, or for an individual that has some hardscape experience and wants to develop into a crew leader, eventually supervising their own crew.

Responsibilities:

  • Install various hardscapes including Unilock pavers and retaining walls, natural stone walkways, patios and walls.
  • Organize hardscape projects from start to finish.
  • Set grades for hardscape projects.
  • Use all equipment in an appropriate manner
  • Operate Bobcat and mini-excavator efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications:

  • 2 to 3 years experience on a landscape construction crew preferred with 1 year doing hardscape installation.
  • Bobcat or mini-excavator experience is a plus.
  • Plant knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to arrive on time and ready to work every day.

Part-Time Delivery Driver / Yard Personnel

Part-Time / On Call as needed; flexible schedule okay

Responsibilities:

  • Drive small dump truck for delivery of topsoil, stone and mulch.
  • Unload trucks returning from landscape projects.
  • Deliver materials to job sites.
  • Arrange materials in yard as needed.
  • Clean and power wash equipment.
  • Light equipment and truck maintenance including cleaining inside cabs of trucks, greasing machinery, etc.
  • Maintain small quantity of plant material, including watering.

Qualifications:

  • Must have clean drivers license.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills.
  • Experience in topsoil, stone & mulch delivery.
  • Experience using a skid steer is a plus.
